β 1/5 β Poor Diagnosis and Not Qualified for New-Generation Volvo Trucks I brought my 2021 Volvo VNL 860 to this shop with a Check Engine light, SCR/aftertreatment problems, and multiple communication fault codes, including U029D00, U029E00, U02A200, U02A300, U116F00, and U010E00. The shop spent approximately 4 hours diagnosing the truck. After all that time, I was told that the problem was the ACM (Aftertreatment Control Module) and that the ACM needed to be replaced and programmed by an authorized Volvo dealer. I was also told that the shop had submitted a request to Volvo for a programming quote and that I would receive an answer the following morning. The next day, however, I contacted Volvo directly and was told that this type of work had to be handled directly by Volvo. More importantly, before spending thousands of dollars on an ACM, I decided to investigate the problem further myself. I eventually found the actual issue myself. I will not go into the specific technical cause, but I will say this: the cause was extremely basic, obvious, and cost me exactly $0 to correct. After correcting it, the truck returned to normal operation and the major fault codes disappeared.

We had a broken leaf spring on a fully loaded trailer, and no other road service would take the job. After spending nearly two hours trying to find help, we called these guys. From the first call, it was a completely different experience β no questions, no hesitation. They quickly dispatched a mechanic who assessed the issue, returned with the right parts, and had the trailer repaired efficiently. Our driver was back on the road in no time. As a carrier, we rarely have good experiences with road service or truck repair shops, but this team was outstanding. Extremely professional, responsive, and capable. Highly recommend β A+ service!

1000$ labor = 6 hrs of labor to swap an alternator clean battery terminals and replace some cables. I won't be back . The technician is a good dude but you guys are hustlers. Alternator swap takes 30 min I've done it myself disconnect batteries and cleaning terminals replacing cables max an hr. We pay 5$ a gallon for fuel. And we gatta deal with work like this . Problem not completely fixed either . Came in with low voltage issues left with a bit better voltage sitting at around 13 running on highway. They trying to tell me that's operating spec which its not. It's 14 when everything is healthy they either sold me another bad alternator rebuilt garbage and or left bad connection from batteries to starter.

Blaine Brothers hauled my 30' Tiffin Allegro bus over 100 miles to my home. I called practically every truck transit in the state. Uship and Shipley connected me with people offering to do a partial job, like drop off a trailer and the heavy duty trucks wanted me to find someone to load and unload, plus Uship and Shipley are brokers and also want a share of cost. I was highly recommended to call Blaine Brothers. Within a few minutes Michael said they would take care of it. A big strong guy named Craig delivered it the next day, by himself. No one bitched or complained. I never had to be there. They never asked for money up front. They were the nicest guys I had talked to, and a month and a half of stress were instantly displayed. I am not sure if they were angels, but I would advise everyone to call Blaine Brothers first. They handle heavy duty freight trucks like they are Tonka Trucks! So professionally!!!
